The Aultman Foundation Distributes Over $100,000 in Grants to 19 Nonprofits
More than $1 Million in grants distributed since 2007
CANTON, Ohio (Nov.1, 2011) – The Aultman Foundation has announced 19 area nonprofit organizations will receive the organization’s ninth round of grant funding totaling $101,500. The grants are structured to help further The Aultman Foundation’s mission by funding local agencies’ projects and services in Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties.
The following organizations – whose services focus on health & wellness, education and human services for the underserved – are receiving grants for the specified amount:
ALS Care Project: $1,300 for the health and wellness outreach program for ALSArc of Stark County, Inc.: $2,000 for the 2012 Autism Forum Family Scholarship Family Economic Success Program, Inc. (FES): $6,400 for the Family Economic Success VITA programMassillon Museum and Ananda Center: $4,500 for the Artful Living programMayor’s Literacy Commission: $3,500 for family book celebrationsMeals on Wheels of Stark & Wayne Co.: $6,000 for data conversion for agency management softwareNorth Canton Playhouse Spotlight on Youth: $4,000 for Saving Lives through the Arts bullying presentationsPegasus Farm: $8,800 for veteran’s salutePrescription Assistance Network of Stark County: $7,000 for the Healing Power of Access for DiabeticsReentry Bridge Network, Inc.: $2,500 for Thrive! program for children of incarcerated parentsSociety for Equal Access Independent Living Center, Inc., New Philadelphia: $7,000 for transportation services to medical appointments in Tuscarawas CountyStark County Hunger Task Force: $7,000 for county-wide pantry servicesStark County Young Life: $5,000 for Young Life growth in urban schoolsStarlight Workshop, Inc.
