Honorees Sought for Holiday Memory Tree Program

CANTON, Ohio (Nov. 13, 2009) – The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital and The Aultman Foundation have teamed up to offer the community a unique way to honor or memorialize a loved one during the holidays.
For a $10 donation, the third annual Light Up a Life Memory Tree program enables community members to remember a loved one feel or make anyone feel special.
Honoree names will be displayed throughout Aultman Hospital and Aultman Woodlawn during the holidays as well as at a Light up event on Dec. 2, 6 p.m., in Aultman’s Bedford building lobby.
Reservations are required to attend; call 330-363-4908 or sign up online. Participation by Nov. 30 is required to be included in the event.
Proceeds benefit the Compassionate Care Center, a 12-bed, inpatient hospice facility slated for Aultman Woodlawn.

History of The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital
The Women’s Board was founded in 1969 to render services to Aultman Hospital in the areas of community relations and fundraising. Since their inception, the Women’s Board has raised more than $20 million to support major projects at Aultman Hospital such as the Emergency/Trauma Center, NICU, Dialysis Center, Cancer Center, Pediatric Services, and most recently, the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Aultman Health Foundation announced The Aultman Foundation in May 2007 to improve the health of the community using a two-fold process: targeted grant funding to area non-profit organizations and the acceptance of charitable gifts to the foundation and hospital. Since inception, the foundation has distributed $625,000 in grants.
